Businessman, 56

Services for businessman Charles A. Olsen III of Annapolis will takeplace 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at the Hardesty Funeral Home, 12 Ridgely Ave. in Annapolis.

Mr. Olsen, 56, died Feb. 2 in Las Vegas, Nev., of a heart attack.

Originally from Brooklyn, N.Y., he had owned and operated the Capitol Vacum & Sewing Center since 1983, and the A to Z Sew Vac Mart inRiverdale since 1978.

His interests included fishing and hunting.

Survivors include his wife, Anna R. Olsen and his mother, Mrs. Helen Olsen, both at home; five daughters, Donna Scala and Helene Heyer, both of Hackensack, N.J., Christine Olsen of Texas, Cindy Olsen of Hinton Falls, N.J., and Debra Olsen of Rockville; four sons, Mark Olsen and Charles A. Olsen IV, both of Hawaii, Michael Olsen of Greenbelt, and William Olsen of Rockville; three step-children, Lorin Pardoe of Bethlehem, Pa., Robert Pardoe of Annapolis, and Diane Pardoe of North Beach; and 12 grandchildren.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Heart Fund.

RICHARD C. HART TEACHER, 53

Services for Andover High School teacher Richard C. Hart of Linthicum took place Feb. 5 at St. John's Lutheran Church.

Mr. Hart, 53, died Feb. 2 of cancer at his home.

Born and raised in Maryland, Mr. Hart attended the University of Maryland.

Mr. Hart is survived by his wife of 31 years, the former Patricia A. Pettyjohn; two children, R. Michael Hart of Chestertowne and Tracy H. Lee of Linthicum.

In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions made to the North Arundel Hospice will beappreciation.

EDITH A. EVANS BUSINESSWOMAN, 72

Services for businesswoman and beautician Edith A. Evans of Linthicum Heights will take place 7 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 7, at the Linthicum Heights United Methodist Church.

Mrs. Evans, 72, died Feb. 3 at Johns Hopkins Hospital after a lengthy illness.

Originally from North Carolina, she was the owner and operator of Edith's Beauty Shop for more than 35 years.

She was preceded in death by her husband of 42 years, the lateIvon C. Evans.

Survivors include a son, Maurice Evans of Seattle,Wash.; four daughters, Nancy Kiehl of Gettysburg, Pa., Peggy Dahlen of Middleton, Patricia LaTorre of Elfland, N.C., and Cheryl Evans of Linthicum; four sisters, Beulah Reeves of Sparta, N.C., Jessie Poplinof Rondo, N.C., Bessie Douglas of Winston-Salem, N.C., and Virginia Lundsten of Port Charles, Fla.; and 11 grandchildren.

Memorials inher name to the American Cancer Society will be appreciated.

Arrangements were by the Singleton Funeral Home.

COREY D. CLIFFORD INFANT, 4 MONTHS

Services for Corey Dean Clifford of Severna Park will take place at 2 p.m. today at Severna Park United Methodist Church.

Corey, who was 4 months old, died Feb. 4 at Johns Hopkins Hospital of heart failure.

He was born Oct. 9, 1990, at Anne Arundel Medical Center.

Corey is survived by his parents, Keith and Kathy Clifford; a sister, Lauren Clifford; a brother, Timothy Clifford; his paternal grandmother, Loretta Inman of Sandborn, Ind.; his maternal grandparents, Shirley and Wayne Osburn, and his great-grandmother, Mildred Grose, all of Terre Haute, Ind.

Memorial contributions may be made to the Johns Hopkins Hospital Pediatric Intensive Care Unit, CMSC-7, 600 N. Wolfe St., Baltimore, 21205.
