* WHERE: Alexander Memorial Coliseum, Atlanta.

* RADIO: WBAL-AM 1090.

* OUTLOOK: The 23rd-ranked Yellow Jackets (12-6, 4-3 in the Atlantic Coast Conference) blew a golden opportunity to take the lead in the ACC with a heartbreaking 77-75 loss to Duke, their first home setback of the year. Georgia Tech certainly has the manpower to take out its frustrations on Maryland (12-7, 2-4). The Yellow Jackets are led by the wondrous Kenny Anderson, who had 32 points and a school-record eight steals against Duke, and the ever-improving Malcolm Mackey, a 6-11 sophomore power forward who averages 17.1 points and 10.4 rebounds.

LOYOLA VS. ST. PETER'S * WHEN: Tonight, 7:30

* WHERE: Yanitelli Center, Jersey City, N.J.

* RADIO/TV: WCAO-AM 600; Home Team Sports.

* OUTLOOK: Loyola (8-10, 2-6 in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference) is shooting for its second three-game winning streak of the season. The Greyhounds held Siena to 34 percent field goal shooting Monday. Kevin Green (21.2) or Tracy Bergan (13.1) has led the team in scoring in 17 of the 18 games. St. Peter's (13-4, 4-3) is 5-2 in the Yanitelli Center. The club's top scorers and rebounders are forwards Tony Walker (17.6 ppg, 6.9 rpg) and Marvin Andrews (13.4 ppg, 5.5 rpg).

COPPIN STATE VS. HOWARD * WHEN: Tomorrow, 7:30 p.m.

* WHERE: Coppin Center.

* OUTLOOK: Howard (3-16, 2-6 in the Mid-Eastern Athletic Conference) has lost five straight to Coppin (11-8, 7-1), including a 78-63 decision last Saturday. However, Howard surprised host Delaware State last night, with Milton Bynum scoring 26 points in an 86-80 win. Coppin, meanwhile, has a seven-game winning streak and has swept 20 in a row at home. Reggie Isaac (24.5 ppg) and Larry Stewart (22.8 ppg, 13.5 rpg) pace Coppin. Howard's leaders are Tyrone Powell (12.5 ppg, 7.0 rpg) and Julius McNeil (12.0).

MOUNT ST. MARY'S VS. ST. FRANCIS, N.Y. * WHEN: Tomorrow, 7:30 p.m.

* WHERE: Knott Arena, Emmitsburg.

* OUTLOOK: The Mount (6-12, 4-4 in the Northeast Conference), which had a stretch of eight games in 16 days and then a nine-day layoff, returns to action against St. Francis (10-9, 5-5). Coach Jim Phelan is expected to use his 12th different lineup, which will include leading scorer John Miller (16.5), who missed three games with a sprained ankle. Scott Murphy, who averaged 23 points in Miller's absence, also is expected to start. St. Francis has five players in double figures, led by freshman Ron Arnold (16.7), three-time NEC Rookie of the Week. The Mount beat St. Francis two weeks ago, 88-81.
