Edgewater man robbed after ride

An Edgewater man was robbed Monday after accepting a ride from two men who offered to take him to get some beer.

County police said the victim was walking on Selby Boulevard about 1 a.m. when the men drove up along side of him.

They drove him to River Road, pulled him out of the car and beat him before takinghis coat and wallet, police said.

No description of the robbers was given.
