Arson Suspected In Brooklyn Pk. Fire

County fire marshals are investigating a fire outside a Brooklyn Park home Sunday.

A woman living in the home in the 200 block of Southerly Road told police she heard an explosion outside her window at about 4:20 a.m. After extinguishing the fire, investigators found a vodka bottle filled with gasoline.

WOMAN ROBBED, FOOD STAMPS TAKEN

A Glen Burnie woman was robbed of money and food stamps Thursday while walking in a wooded area off Crain Highway.

Police reported the woman was walking on a path between Old Stage Road and Crain Highway at about 1:15 p.m. when a man walked up and demanded money. The woman gave him her purse, then fainted. When she woke up, she found her purse and all its contents scattered on the ground.

The woman called police from a nearby store.

WHILE BUYING GAS, TWO MEN ARE ROBBED

Two men were robbed Monday while buying gas at a Pasadena station, county police reported.

Police said the two were standing alongside the pumps at the station, in the 100 block of Mountain Road, when they were approached by three men at about 11 p.m.

One of the men pulled out a gun, pointed it at the victims and demanded money. The second and third men reached intothe victims' pockets.

A total of $320 was taken, police said.

The robbers were last seen running toward Freetown Village.

GOLD RINGAND $11 ROBBED FROM WALKER

A Glen Burnie man was robbed Monday while walking in Freetown Village, county police reported.

Police reported the man was walking on Levy Court at about 11:30 p.m. when three men walked up and began hitting him in the face.

The men stole $11 and a gold ring.

Police gave no description of the robbers.

MAN CHARGED IN DOMESTIC DISPUTE

A Severn man was charged with assault and battery after his wife told police he hit her during a domestic dispute Thursday.

Lynal Lamont Newman, 28, of the 1800 block Pine Grove Court, was charged after officers were called to his home at 9:45 p.m.

His wife told officers that her husband had hit in her in the mouth and and tried to choke her.

The woman's neck was swollen and her lip was bleeding, police said.

100 block of Olen Drive: Jan. 28, entry gained through the door. Unknown property taken.

Hanover:

7100 block of Ohio Avenue: Jan. 23, entry gained through the door. Nothing taken.

3300 block of Fort Meade Road: Jan. 20, entry gained through the door. Money taken. Total loss: $400.

Pasadena:

700 block of Deering Road: Jan. 27, entry gained through the door. Appliances taken. Total loss: $540.

7700 block of Notley Road: Jan. 28, entry gained through the kitchen door. Unknown property taken.
