Youth arrested in fatal Dec. shooting

January 30, 1991

A 17-year-old East Baltimore youth was arrested yesterday at his home and charged with the fatal Christmas Eve shooting of Russell Scott Edmonds, 25.

Edmonds, of the 6600 block of Snowberry Court, was found wounded on the second-floor landing of a high-rise building in the 100 block of Albemarle St. He died Jan. 10 at the Shock-Trauma Unit in Baltimore with multiple gunshot wounds of the back and an arm.

Sheron Jackson, of the 900 block of E. Lombard St., was charged with first-degree murder and a handgun violation. The motive for the shooting appears to have been robbery, police said.
