* Toronto Blue Jays -- Agreed to terms with Rene Gonzales (infielder) and Denis Boucher and Mike Timlin (pitchers) on one-year contracts.

National League * Cincinnati Reds -- Agreed to terms with Todd Benzinger (first baseman), Billy Bates (infielder) and Keith Brown, Rodney Imes and Bill Risley (pitchers) on one-year contracts.

* Montreal Expos -- Agreed to terms with Dave Martinez (outfielder) and Greg McCarthy (pitcher) on one-year contracts.
