The Sun's columnists say . . .

January 27, 1991

John Eisenberg Giants 23, Bills 21: A defense that shuts down Joe Montana twice will not get swamped by the Buffalo Bills. Yes, the Bills are hot, the best AFC team in years. But the Giants' defense has the discipline to keep the Bills from running wild. Look for an early Buffalo lead, a Giants rally sparked by turnovers, and a late Bills rally falling short. Finally, a good Super Bowl.

Mike Littwin

Bills 24, Giants 10: This is a confusing Super Bowl. In the past, you could always safely pick for the 49ers or against the Broncos or both. Without that option, I'm going to predict that Jeff Hostetler reverts to being a backup quarterback who will make enough mistakes to allow the Bills to win.
