Council Seat To Be Filled

MANCHESTER — The Town Council is expected to appoint a member to fill the slot vacated earlier this month when Councilman David M. Warner resigned to take a job with town government.

During tonight's regularly scheduled meeting, the council will choose a new member from a list of fourcandidates, most of whom had applied for two previous openings on the council over the last six months.

The candidates are Board of Appeals Chairman Larry L. Gouker of Westminster Street, Planning Commission member John D. Timberman of Main Street, Planning Commission member Robert Kolodziejski of Bert Fowler Drive, and resident Douglas Myers of Michelle Road.

Whoever is chosen to fill Warner's unexpired term will serve until May. Annualsalary for council members is $500 a year.

After tonight, the only elected members of the council will be Geoff Black and Gerald H. Bollinger, both of whose terms are up in May 1993. Hampstead Manager John A. Riley, whose term is up in May, was appointed to replace Diane D. Maddox, who resigned in August. Charlotte B. Collett, whose term expires in May 1993, was appointed to replace the seat vacated by EarlA.J. "Tim" Warehime Jr. when he was appointed mayor last month.
