Four Area Enlistees Finish Basic Training

The following area members of the armed forces recently completed basic military training:

* Navy Airman Recruit Robert A. Moore, son of Robert A. Moore of Arnold, completed training at Recruit Training Command, San Diego. He is a 1989 graduate of Broadneck High School.

* Pvt. Christopher M. DeMarco, son of Domenic P. and Dorothy J. DeMarco of Fort George G. Meade, completed training at Fort Bragg, N.C. The private is a 1990 graduate of Meade Senior High School.

* Navy Seaman Recruit James T. Frizzelle, son of Dorothy C. Frizzelle of Millersville, completed training at Recruit Training Command, San Diego. He is a 1976 graduate of Howard High School.

* Navy Seaman Recruit Jeffrey B. Brewster, son of Bruce L. Brester of Orchard Beach, completed training at Recruit Training Command, San Diego. He is a 1990 graduate of Glen Burnie High School.


Navy Airman Cherish V. Levasseur, a 1989 graduate of Laurel High School, has completed the Basic Avionics (aviation electronics) Technician Course.

During the 27-week course, conducted at the Naval Air Technical Training Center, Naval Air Station Memphis, Millington, Tenn. Lavasseur received basic technical instruction on the fundamentals necessary to perform entry-level aviation electronics maintenance tasks. In addition, she received instruction to enable her for further specialized training on operational aviation electronics equipment found in naval aircraft.


Army National Guard Pvt. Michael A. Mundy has completed the wire systems installer course at Fort Gordon, Augusta, Ga.

The course provided instruction for soldiers to install, operate and perform operator and organizational maintenance checks and services on voltage and current protection devices, telephones and auxiliaryequipment.

He is the son of Marlene G. and Thomas J. Bain of Odenton.

The private is a 1990 graduate of Old Mill Senior High School in Millersville.


Sgt. Helen A. Middleton has graduated from a non-commissioned officer leadership school, where she studied techniques of leadership, management and supervision.

The engineering assistant specialist at Myrtle Beach A.F.B. in South Carolina is the daughter of Arscenia H. Hoover ofSeneca, S.C.

Her husband, Air Force Sgt. Kenneth D. Middleton, isthe son of Sgt. Maj. Earl D. and Gloria J. Middleton of Severn.

She is a 1984 graduate of Seneca Senior High School.


Army Reserve Pvt. Marc A. Hayden has completedtraining at the U.S. Army Infantry School, Fort Benning, Columbus, Ga.

During the course, students received training that qualified them as light-weapons infantrymen and as direct-fire crewmen in a rifleor mortar squad.

Instruction included weapons qualifications, tactics, patrolling, land-mine warfare, field and combat operations.

He is the son of James D. and Marilee K. Hayden of Glen Burnie.

The soldier is a 1989 graduate of Glen Burnie Senior High School.
