Baltimore City

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Officials of the Chesapeake & Potomac Telephone Co. in the 4200 block of Shannon Drive reported that while a company-owned 1989 Chevrolet van was parked near the building, someone entered the vehicle and removed a quantity of tools. Police said two men, each dressed in black, were seen near the truck shortly before the theft was discovered. Police said the value of the tools was not immediately known.

ASSAULT: Northeastern District -- June Holly, 35, of the 3900 block of Kenyon Ave., reported that during an incident near her home yesterday she was assaulted by a woman known to her who stabbed her with a fork. Police said a 32-year-old female resident of the 5600 block of Sinclair Lane was arrested and held overnight at the women's detention center at the Central District pending assault charges. Police said Holly refused treatment for the injury.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 5500 block of Bucknell Road reported that someone broke into her home through a rear window and removed a metal box containing more than $200 in cash and coins. Police said a wall clock also was stolen.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Dale Runnder, of the 4600 block of Parkside Drive, reported that while his vehicle was parked near his home someone broke in and removed a metal box containing tools. Police said entry was gained by breaking a window and that the property was valued at nearly $1,300.

THEFT: Northeastern District -- Police reported that someone broke into a vehicle owned by Sagamore Heating and Air Conditioning in Finksburg that was parked in the 3600 block of Sinclair Lane yesterday. Police said someone removed tools valued at more than $1,000 from several storage boxes.

THEFTS: Northeastern District -- Employees of the Louis J. Grasmick Lumber Co. Inc. in the 6700 block of Quad Ave. reported that someone broke into three company-owned vehicles and stole property valued at nearly $350. Police said tools valued at $100 were removed from one truck by someone who forced open a vent window. A second vehicle was entered and an AM-FM radio valued at $200 was stolen. From a third vehicle, someone stole a pry bar and a flashlight after breaking a vent window.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Police reported two men, one armed with a handgun, entered the Atlantic Cleaners Ltd. in the 1500 block of Havenwood Road and forced an employee to give them the contents of the cash register. Police said the gunman and his accomplice fled with an undisclosed sum of money.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Helen Knight, of the 3800 block of Ednor Road, reported she was walking near her home yesterday when she was approached from behind by a youth in his early teens who stole the purse she was carrying and fled. Police said the purse contained cash and property valued at nearly $100.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that someone broke into a dwelling in the 2500 block of Robb St. and removed a VCR. Police said the value of the property was not immediately known and that entry was gained by cutting out a section of screen in a back door.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Joseph Germershaven, of the block of E. Pratt St., reported he was in the 1600 block of Abbotston St. early yesterday afternoon when he was accosted by a man armed with a handgun who struck him with the weapon and robbed him of two coats. Police said the value of the coats was not immediately known.

THEFT/ARREST: Northeastern District -- Police responding to a theft report at the K mart in the 5100 block of Sinclair Lane arrested a 38-year-old woman who attempted to leave the store without paying for four cartons of cigarettes valued at more than $50. Police said the woman was taken to the women's detention center at the Central District pending formal charges and a bail hearing before a District Court commissioner.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 200 block of Pentland Drive reported that her home was forcibly entered by someone who removed two VCRs. Police said the property was valued at $400 and that entry was gained by breaking a pane of glass out of the front door.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that property valued at more than $1,600 was removed from a dwelling in the 1500 block of Wadsworth Way after someone broke a pane of glass out of a door. Police said the intruder made off with a TV, VCR and several pieces of jewelry.

BURGLARY: Southwestern District -- A resident of the 3700 block of W. Mulberry St. reported that someone entered his home by forcing the front door and removed a radio valued at $300.

ROBBERY: Southwestern District -- Alfred Cormier, of the 4500 block of N. Charles St., told police he was in the 2900 block of W. Baltimore St. early yesterday when he was assaulted by a man who robbed him of $80.
