Threat of terrorism

It's your call

January 22, 1991

Several local school systems have curtailed school trips because of the war in the Persian Gulf area and threats of terrorism. TWA reports a significant decrease in business for the same reason. We'd like to know if the threat of terrorism has changed your personal or business travel plans. Have you canceled any plan for personal travel or not? Have you canceled any business plans or not? If you had to travel in the next few weeks, would you travel by airplane?

We'd like you to share your experience with The Evening Sun by calling SUNDIAL, the Baltimore Sun's telephone information service. You will also have an opportunity to leave a comment through voice mail. If you would like a reporter to interview you, please leave your name and a daytime telephone number. Selected comments will be included in an article later this week.

It is a local call and must be made from a Touch-Tone phone. The SUNDIAL number is 783-1800 or, in Anne Arundel County, 268-7736. When you reach SUNDIAL enter category 4600 and wait for instructions from the announcer. Call with your opinion between 10 a.m. and midnight. The results will be published in this section later this week.

"It's Your Call" represents a sampling of opinions from certain segments of the community, but it is not balanced demographically, as a scientific public opinion poll would be.
