Correction: Last week's volunteer feature, about the Corporate Volunteer Council of Central Maryland and its project to build a playground at the Children's Guild, incorrectly listed the day the work will be done at the playground. Parents Anonymous Project A.C.T. (Adolescents Coping Together) needs volunteers to work with the 10- to 14-year-old self-help group from dysfunctional families who feel overwhelmed, need emotional support and need to be heard. Please call 728-7021.
Maryland Rehabilitation Center, on Argonne Drive, needs volunteers to guide new clients through the admission process on their first day at the center. Volunteers are needed in the library, gift shop and other areas. Call 554-3014.

Baltimore County Recycling Drop-off Centers need volunteers of all ages and talents to greet recyclers, receive and sort materials, direct traffic and more. Call 887-2000.
Historic Annapolis Foundation wants volunteers to help with a variety of jobs including walking tour guides, museum shop sales assistants, museum docent at the William Paca House and Garden or as garden workers. Call 1-267-8149 for orientation sessions.
Glen Burnie Park Elementary School students volunteered and raised more than $400 in a Read-A-Thon. The money was donated to the United Way of Central Maryland campaign to help support cancer recovery services. It was in support of a classmate who has cancer.
