A Mass of Christian burial for Richard C. Bernard Jr., former management consultant and chairman of the Foreign Trade Data PTC Users Group, will be offered at 10 a.m. today at St. Mary's Roman Catholic Church, 5502 York Road.

Mr. Bernard, a resident of New York City for the past 30 years, died there Tuesday of cardiac arrest at New York Hospital. He was 66.

Born and raised in Baltimore, he attended Boys Latin School and was a graduate of Harvard University and the Harvard Business School.

Mr. Bernard served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He was cited for bravery while in Okinawa and received the Silver Star.

He was a longtime member of the Westside Tennis Club of New York City and was honored while at Harvard as a goalkeeper in lacrosse.

Mr. Bernard is survived by five nieces and two nephews.

The family suggests donations be made to the American Cancer Association or other charity.
