WASHINGTON — Representative Beverly B. Byron, D-6th, said she supports President Bush's decision to use military force to oust Saddam Hussein from Kuwait.
Byron was one of the Maryland Democrats who sided with Bush on the war powers vote.
But up until Wednesday, she still was not convinced that war was inevitable.
"I was hopeful until the last minute that a diplomaticsolution might still have been reached," she said. "But I believe that Saddam Hussein left President Bush and the international coalitionno choice.
