Z. Robert Turadian Ayerst sales manager

A memorial service for Z. Robert Turadian, a retired sales manager for Ayerst Laboratories, will be held at 7:30 p.m. today at the Havenwood Presbyterian Church, 100 E. Ridgely Road in Timonium.

Mr. Turadian, who was 71 and lived on Charmuth Road, died Monday at the Greater Baltimore Medical Center after a stroke.

He retired in 1982 after more than 30 years of service with Ayerst, the pharmaceutical division of the American Home Products Co. He had worked in several places, including company headquarters in New York, and was transferred to the Baltimore area in 1966.

Born in Konia, Turkey, but raised in New York, he was a graduate of Erasmus Hall and Bates College.

He served as an officer in the U.S. Army during World War II and worked briefly for the Veterans Administration in New York after the war.

At the Havenwood Presbyterian Church, he sang in the choir and served as an elder, deacon and trustee.

Interested in conservation and nature, he carved prize-winning duck decoys.

He is survived by his wife, the former Charlotte R. Dolloff; a son, Allan R. Turadian of Wilmington, Del.; a daughter, Roxane Hincker of Houston; a sister, Zabelle Manoukian of Westfield, N.J.; and two grandchildren.
