A Pasadena man, whose brother recently was charged with attempting to murder a 4-year-old girl, has been charged with sexually assaultingtwo young girls over the summer.
Donald Edward Schneider, 20, of the 7800 block Catherine Avenue, was charged with two counts of second-degree sexual offense, county police said.
Investigators said Donald Schneider assaulted the girls in his home.
Police said they developed the evidence for the charges while investigating Donald's brother, Joseph Henry Schneider.
Joseph Henry Schneider, 18, of the same address, was charged with beating Casey Lynn Allers, of the 7800 block Catherine Avenue, unconscious Jan. 7.
According to police, Joseph Schneider regularly baby-sat Allers,who also lived in the 7800 block of Catherine Avenue.
Investigators said he was angry at her for wetting her pants and hit her severaltimes. He originally told police that the child was hurt in a sleighing accident, but doctors and police found that her injuries were notthe type she would have gotten in an accident.
HOME BURNED IN DOMESTIC DISPUTE
The enraged husband of a Crownsville woman burned herhome down during a domestic dispute late Tuesday night, police said.
Gunshots were reported in the 1400 block of Waterbury Road about10:30 p.m. When officers arrived, they found the home on fire and a man with a shotgun wandering in the front yard.
Police said the estranged husband had telephoned the woman and threatened to kill her and her daughter by burning the house down.
The woman and her daughter went to a relative's home next door. When the husband arrived, hereportedly slashed the tires of five cars, threw a large piece of firewood through a window of the relative's house and broke several windows at his wife's home.
The woman's father heard the tires beingslashed, ran outside with a shotgun and saw his daughter's house on fire, police said. The husband and father exchanged shots, but neither was hit, police said..
Police said the husband was still at large yesterday.
Fire department spokesman Lt. Gary Sheckells said thefire was started with a portable kerosene heating unit.
Damage tothe house was estimated at $65,000, plus $40,000 to the contents.
MUGGER TAKES $60 FROM SEVERN MAN
A Severn man was robbed of $60 onMonday in Pioneer City, county police reported.
Police said the victim was walking to a friend's house when a man called to him. The victim walked over, and the man said he was looking for someone.
Choking the victim, the man forced him to the ground and held a knife to his throat. After taking his money, the man ran toward Richfield Road.
Police had no description of the robber.
COCAINE AND $2,000 ARE SEIZED BY POLICE
County narcotics detectives seized over $2,000 and some cocaine after searching a Glen Burnie home Tuesday.
James Alfred Crawford, 53, of the 700 block Marley Avenue, was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine after police raided his home and seized 4.5 grams of cocaine and $2,035.
Cleon Kendrick, 27, of the first block Korando Court, was charged with possession with intent to distribute cocaine.
A third person in the house, LaValette Rochell Byrd, 27, of the 3300 block Kerry Road in Baltimore, was charged with possession of paraphernalia.
The police said officers served the search warrant after receiving information that drugswere being dealt from the home.

First block of Whites Road: Jan. 13, entry gained through the door. Appliances taken. Total loss: Unknown.
