49ers, Raiders slight favorites

By nearly identical margins, the 49ers and Raiders were picked to make it to the Super Bowl, said respondents to "It's Your Call," The Evening Sun's phone survey on topical issues.

By a 264 to 215 vote, the 49ers were picked to defeat the Giants in the NFC championship. The Raiders drew only one vote less, outpolling the Bills 263-217, as a slight favorite to pull an upset in Buffalo in the AFC finale.

"It's Your Call" represents a sampling of opinions from certain segments of the community, but it is not balanced demographically, as would be done in a scientific public opinion poll.
