Faith Burk Stengel

Faith Burk Stengel, who for many years helped run her family's Long Green general store and also served as a postal clerk and letter carrier, died of heart disease complications Friday at her Long Green home. She was 70.

Services for Mrs. Stengel will be held at 10 a.m. tomorrow at St. John's Lutheran Church, Phoenix.

Survivors include her husband of 43 years, Harry C. Stengel Jr.; a daughter, Sharon A. Eyre of Glen Arm; a son, Harry C. "Casey" Stengel III of Long Green; two brothers, retired Brig. Gen. John F. Burk Jr. and Alfred E. Burk, both of Lutherville; and four grandchildren.

The family suggests that memorial contributions be made to the Jacksonville Volunteer Fire Co. Ambulance Fund, P.O. Box 255, Phoenix 21131; or the Long Green Volunteer Fire Co. Engine Fund, 4506 Long Green Road, Long Green 21092.
