Protest planned in Washington

January 14, 1991

Baltimore's Lithuanian-American community plans to continue a protest in Washington today against the Soviet Union's actions in Lithuania.

Two busloads of people went to Washington yesterday to participate in a demonstration and march.

A bus was scheduled to carry protesters back to Washington for another embassy demonstration this morning. Organizers said it will leave Baltimore's Lithuanian Hall at Parkin and Hollins streets at 10 a.m. and pick up additional passengers at the Wilkins Avenue Giant in Arbutus at 10:30 a.m.
