Navy sinks in end, 76-73

WILLIAMSBURG, Va. -- Todd Cauthorn made two free throws with one second left to seal William and Mary's 76-73 victory over Navy (5-8, 1-2) in a Central Athletic Association game last night.

Thomas Roberts scored a game-high 28 points and grabbed nine rebounds to lead William and Mary (8-5, 2-0). Christopher Jensen added 13 points for the winners.

Navy, which held a 38-36 halftime advantage, pulled to within 74-73 on John Haase's three-pointer with 12 seconds remaining.

Roberts' jumper in the paint with 58 seconds remaining had pulled Navy to 72-70. William and Mary extended its lead to 74-70 on Jensen's two free throws with 20 seconds remaining.

Eddie Reddick had 19 points and 13 rebounds to lead the Midshipmen. Erik Harris added 17 points and seven assists for Navy.
