Memorial services for Eleanor W. Daugherty, formerly Eleanor Potts Williams, were held Tuesday, Jan. 1, at St. Francis Episcopal Church in Greenville, S.C.

The Rev. Ann Davis officiated.

Daugherty, 86, formerly of Elkridge, died Dec. 29. She had resided in a Greenville nursing home in deteriorating health for the past several years.

Born in Elkridge in 1904, she was the daughter of the late Dr. Arthur Williams and Elizabeth Young Williams, and the wifeof the late Richard Daugherty.

Her family's home is opposite the present-day Elkridge Heritage Society.

Daugherty was a former regent and lifelong member of the Washington Custis chapter of the National Society of the Daughters of the American Revolution.

She is survived by a daughter, Eleanor Crandall of Greenville; a son, Richard Daugherty of Andover, Mass.; four grandchildren; and one great-granddaughter.
