MTA bus route changes

The MTA has scheduled the following changes in bus routes for this week. For more information, call 539-5000; TTY for the hearing-impaired, 539-3497.

Temporary reroutings

Until midnight tonight, Fayette Street will be closed between Pine and Greene streets, necessitating the following rerouting:

No. 1 northbound, No. 2 westbound -- Via regular route on Fayette to Greene, then south on Greene, west on Lombard Street, north on Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard, west on Fayette, then via regular route.

Nos. 8 (University of Maryland Transit Center) and 36 southbound, No. 35 westbound -- Via regular route on Fayette to Greene, then south on Greene, west on Lombard, north on Martin Luther King, east on Baltimore Street to the University of Maryland Transit Center.

No. 20 westbound -- Via regular route on Baltimore to Greene, then south on Greene, west on Lombard, north on Martin Luther King, west on Baltimore, then via regular route.

Return to regular route

No. 28 -- Eastbound service has returned to Baltimore Street between Hilton Street and Franklintown Road from a temporary route on Edmondson Avenue.

Continuing diversions

No. 15 -- Eastbound to Overlea: via regular route to Eager and Aisquith streets, then north on Aisquith, east on Chase Street, south on Central Avenue, east on Eager, then via regular route. No change westbound.
