CLEMSON, S.C. -- Sophomore Jessie Hicks scored a career-high 27 points and Aluma Goren added a career-high 21 to lead Maryland (9-5, 2-0) to a 71-68 upset of No. 12 Clemson (9-3, 1-2) in an Atlantic Coast Conference game last night.

The victory was Maryland's first over a ranked team this season.
