Services for Michael W. Stanley Sr., a printer, will be held at 1 p.m. today at the Nutter Funeral Home, 2501 Gwynns Falls Parkway.

Mr. Stanley, who was 34, died of cancer Sunday at his home on Hupa Place in Randallstown.

He was an expediter at the Waverly Press, where he worked for more than 10 years after setting type for the Afro-American Newspapers and the Globe Poster Co.

The Baltimore native was a graduate of the Mergenthaler Vocational-Technical High School and of Towson State University, where he majored in history.

He is survived by his wife, the former Denise Archer; a son, Michael W. Stanley Jr. of Randallstown; a daughter, Jennifer L. Stanley of Randallstown; his parents, Robert and Mildred Stanley, both of Baltimore; a brother, Reginald R. Stanley of Baltimore; three sisters, Irene McNamara and Cynthia and Aurelia Stanley, all of Baltimore; four stepsisters, Nancy Skinner and Jean, Victoria and Jacqueline Cooper, all of Baltimore; and a grandmother, Margaret Dennis of Baltimore.
