Sections of the interchange of Baltimore-Washington Parkway at Dorsey Road will be closed periodically next week to allow for construction of a bridge designed to carry an expanded Route 100 over the parkway.
The State Highway Administration has announced that, provided the weather allows for construction, northbound traffic will be haltedat 15-minute intervals between 11 p.m. Tuesday and 5 a.m. Wednesday. Southbound traffic will suffer the same fate beginning 11 p.m. Wednesday. If necessary, work will continue on Thursday.
While the traffic is stopped, work crews will be installing steelbeams to be used in the bridge construction.
