Maryland takes ACC opener, beating Wake Forest, 68-63

WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. -- Junior forward Ana Marajanovic's two free throws in the final minute broke a 63-63 tie and lifted the University of Maryland to a 68-63 victory over Wake Forest (10-4, 0-1) last night in its Atlantic Coast Conference opener.

Dafne Lee (Woodlawn) and Bonnie Rimkus each scored 14 to lead the Terps (8-5, 1-0). Jessie Hicks contributed 12 points and nine rebounds.

K? It was sixth straight time Maryland has won its ACC opener.

ANNAPOLIS -- Junior guard Angie Dobbs led all scorers with 25, as Navy (6-5) won its third straight.

It was the fifth time this season that Dobbs has scored 20 or

WESTMINSTER -- Donna Greybeck's 22 second-half points led Ursinus (4-6) over Western Maryland (5-5) in a Middle Atlantic Conference intersectional game.

Greybeck, a 6-foot senior center, finished with a team-high 27 points and tied teammate Trina Derstine (17 points) for game rebounding honors with 12.

Western Maryland's Debbie Shockley led all scorers with 31, a career high which included a school-record seven three-pointers.
