Cave Sworn In As Chief Deputy Sheriff

Charles A. Cave, 53, was sworn in as chief deputy of the Sheriff's Office in Howard County last Wednesday evening.

Cave will serve forthe next four years as commander of operations at the Waterloo Barracks.

Cave is a 27-year veteran of the Maryland State Police, having served 21 of those years in the county.

Prior to his appointment, Cave was the criminal investigation supervisor at Frederick for two years.

Cave lives in Columbia with his wife, Diane.
