ROBBERY TRY: Northeastern District -- Police today continued their search for two men in the attempted robbery at a Harford Road grocery store during which two shots were fired at the owner. Police said two men entered the Harford Convenience Store in the 3500 block of Harford Road shortly before 10 p.m. Police said one man walked to the rear and the other approached the counter, pulled out a handgun and ordered owner Dae Ho Park to give him money from the cash register. Police said when Park refused to comply, the gunman fired a shot that missed. Police said Park then picked up a knife and was waving it at the gunman when the armed man fired a second shot. That shot also missed. Police said the men then fled without taking any money.

ARRESTS: Western District -- Police arrested three men and charged each with the assault and attempted murder of Rodney Brown, of the 1300 block of W. North Ave., and the burglary of a house where they first believed Brown was staying. Police said three men broke into the home of Teneara Harris, of the 2500 block of Druid Hill Ave., Monday evening looking for Brown and left when they couldn't find him. The men, one armed with a handgun, then spotted Brown in the 2500 block of Francis St. and attacked him. After beating and kicking Brown, the gunman fired several shots at him and missed. Later, police arrested three men in the burglary and attack. Police said Romeo Brown, 30, of the 600 block of N. Franklintown Road; James Hare, 24, of the 2000 block of Bob Hendrickson Court in Hollander Ridge, and Cornette White, 26, of the 500 block of Glenallen Drive, were being held at the station in lieu of $50,000 bail each. Police said the attack apparently was over money Brown owed the three men.

THEFT: Central District -- Allen Winters, of the 200 block of Poplar Road in Millersville, reported that while his car was parked in the first block of South St. early yesterday someone broke into the vehicle and removed a $3,000 Rolex watch and a gold bracelet valued at more than $400.

ROBBERY: Central District -- William Hawkins, of the 600 block of Park Ave., told police he was in the 100 block of W. Hamilton Ave. Monday evening when he was attacked by two men who knocked him to the pavement and removed $70 from his pockets.

ROBBERY: Central District -- Police reported that Sylvester Stokes, of the 2300 block of Linden Ave., was at home Monday afternoon when he answered a knock at his door and was pushed inside by a man who demanded money. Police said the unarmed intruder robbed Stokes of more than $100 and fled.

ROBBERY: Central District -- Samuel Anderson, of the 600 block of Pitcher St., reported he was in the 1600 block of Pennsylvania Ave. Monday evening when two men, one wearing a Los Angeles Raiders jacket, robbed him of more than $100. Police said one of the men was armed with a handgun.

ROBBERY: Central District -- A resident of the 600 block of George St. told police she was at home yesterday when a man she knows attacked and robbed her of $10. Ammie Jackson told police the man choked her while demanding money. Police said Jackson was not seriously injured.

ROBBERY TRY: Northeastern District -- Kenneth Turek, of the 3600 block of Kenyon Ave., reported he was outside his home early yesterday when he was stopped by a man who demanded his wallet. Police said Turek, who was carrying a cup of hot coffee, threw the beverage in the man's face, forcing him to flee.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- A resident of the 1300 block of E. Northern Parkway reported that someone broke into his outdoor storage shed by cutting a lock and removed more than $1,000 worth of whale and shark bones.

THEFT/ARREST: Northeastern District -- Police responding to the Burlington Coat Factory in the 1600 block of Havenwood Road at the Northwood Shopping Center arrested a 46-year-old resident of the 1800 block of Chilton St. who attempted to leave the store without paying for a coat valued at nearly $130. Police said the man was held overnight at the Eastern District lockup pending theft charges and a hearing before a District Court commissioner.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Kathleen Onorato, of the 3600 block of Elmley Ave., told police she was in the 3400 block of Juneway early yesterday when she was attacked by a man who threw her to the pavement and robbed her of her purse containing cash and property valued at more than $50.

ROBBERY: Northeastern District -- Alice Zack, of the 3300 block of Batavia Ave., reported she was leaving a car in the 4200 block of Frankford Ave. yesterday afternoon when a man approached from the rear and stole her purse. Police said the man escaped with nearly $90 and more than $80 in other property.

BURGLARY: Northeastern District -- Police reported that someone broke into a vacant dwelling in the 6000 block of Moravia Park Drive and removed a water heater and a heat pump from the basement. Police said the property was valued at several hundred dollars.
