Carrol's Creek Gives Hartung The Top Hat

January 07, 1991

David Hartung, formerly sous chef at Carrol's Creek Restaurant in Annapolis, has been named the restaurant's head chef. In addition to maintaining the culinary standards and continuing to offer the establishment's classic dishes, Hartung will gradually introduce his own new creations.

Hartung has dual interests in classic American and Southwestern regional dishes and is adept at tableside cooking.

The new chef is a graduate of the Baltimore Culinary Institute, beginning his career at several local restaurants. Before Carrol's Creek, Hartung was sous chef at San Remo Restaurant, also in Annapolis.
