The FBI has released a photograph of a suspect in more than two dozen bank robberies in the city and Baltimore and Anne Arundel counties.

The suspect, who was photographed Dec. 13 during a holdup at a Maryland National Bank branch on Joh Avenue in Violetville, is wanted in the robbery spree that began 19 months ago, according to the FBI.

The most recent robbery happened Dec. 18 in a Maryland National branch at 601 Reisterstown Road in Pikesville, the FBI said.

The man is described as 30 to 35 years old, about 5 feet 8 inches and 140 pounds. He usually has a beard or a mustache and wears glasses and a hat, the FBI said.

The FBI considers the suspect to be armed and dangerous. He displayed a handgun during two of the robberies. On other occasions, the man handed the bank teller a note demanding money.
