* Senior Doreen Miller won three individual races and was part of a victorious relay team in pacing the University of Maryland to a 159-141 triumph over the Naval Academy in a women's dual swimming meet at College Park. Sophomore Maribeth Schorn took the 100- and 200-yard freestyle for the Terps. Navy (3-3) had a double winner in senior Jennifer Rowe, who remained undefeated in the 500 freestyle and 1,000 freestyle this season.


Navy (6-1) picked up two wins, downing Princeton, 33-5, and Franklin & Marshall, 34-3. Of 20 matches, the Midshipmen won 17, including three by pins. Double winners for Navy included Mark Smith at 126, Brad Gazaway at 142, Aron Carman at 177, Tom Storey at 190 and Brett Bourne at heavyweight.

Smith's two wins increased his overall record to 11-0. Bourne, an All-American and team captain, improved to 15-1 with a team-high seven pins.
