Finnerty Is Chosen Youth Ambassador

January 06, 1991

John Carroll High School student Catherine Finnerty was chosen as the outstanding sophomore to be a Hugh O'Brien Youth Foundation (HOBY) ambassador at the HOBY state leadership seminar, to be held at the Johns Hopkins University in the spring.

The foundation helps motivate, train and reward future leaders.

The foundation will bring the sophomores together with a group ofdistinguished leaders in business, education, government and other professions, to help show students that how to think can be just as important as what to think.

Last year, more than 11,000 sophomores, representing as many high schools, attended 83 seminars throughout North America.
