Towson State to host four-day festival of movement theater

New York-based Bond Street Theatre Coalition will open the Mid-Atlantic Movement Theatre Festival at Towson State University on Thursday at 8 p.m. MAMTF is a non-profit organization based in Westminster.

The four-day event will also feature Touch Mime Theatre from North Carolina on Friday at 8 p.m. and internationally acclaimed mime Tony Montanaro on Saturday at 8 p.m., along with movement theater workshops and other arts management topics collaboration with TSU's Theater Department.

All performances take place on the main stage of the Fine Arts Building, located on Osler Drive. Tickets are available by calling 830-ARTS or (301) 876-6640.

Get ready for shell shock when the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles step onto the stage at the Baltimore Arena Wednesday to next Sunday for eight performances of a new rock and roll extravaganza.

Performance times are 7:30 p.m. Wednesday to Friday; 11 a.m., 3 p.m. and 7 p.m. Saturday; and 1 p.m. and 5:30 p.m. Sunday. Tickets are $9.50, $11.50 and $13.50. Call 347-2010.

Kevin Brown The Maria Morales Spanish Dance Company will perform Tuesday at noon at the Johns Hopkins Medical Institutions as part of Hopkins' Midday Performance Series.

The company will present an array of dances narrated by artistic director/choreographer Maria Morales, a member of the dance faculty at the Peabody Institute. The concert will be held in Turner Auditorium, East Monument Street at Rutland Avenue. Admission is free and open to the public. Call 955-3363 for more information.
