Frank H. Reitterer City police officer

Services for Frank H. Reitterer, a security guard and retired Baltimore police sergeant, will be held at 11 a.m. today at the Howard H. Hubbard Funeral Home, 4107 Wilkens Ave.

Mr. Reitterer, who was 60 and lived on Brisbane Road, died of cancer Wednesday at St. Agnes Hospital.

He retired in 1989 as a desk sergeant in the Southwestern District, where he had served about 25 years. A member of the Baltimore police force for 36 years, he also had served in the Southern and Northern districts.

The Baltimore native attended public schools and earned an associate in arts degree at the Catonsville Community College.

Since retiring from the police force, he had been a security guard at the Harbor Court Hotel and the Patapsco Village Shopping Center.

He served in the Marine Corps in the Korean War and received the Purple Heart.
