Services will take place Sunday, Jan. 6, for Odenton resident Jennie Davis at 2:30 p.m. at Nichols Bethel United Methodist Church in Odenton.
Mrs. Davis, 66, died after a lengthy illness on Tuesday, Jan. 1, at Franklin Square Hospital.
A resident of Odenton for 24 years, she graduated in 1943 from Annapolis High School and worked as a dental assistant in Fort Meade, Glen Burnie and Baltimore.
She was known for her great sense of humor and her needle and craft work.
Mrs.Davis was a member of Great Circle Quilting Club.
She is survivedby her husband of 45 years, John H. Davis; two daughters, Judi Mathew of Albuquerque, N.M., and Jan Arntz of Annapolis; and three grandchildren.
Memorial donations may be made to the American Lung Association or Nichols Bethel United Methodist Church in Odenton.
HAROLD R.BROWN MEAT DISTRIBUTOR, 82
Services will take place for Edgewater resident Harold R. Brown at 10 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 5, at Hardesty Funeral Home in Annapolis.
Mr. Brown, 82, died of a heart attack Tuesday, Jan. 1, at Patuxent River Naval Hospital.
A resident of Edgewater since his retirement in 1960 after 25 years as owner of Brown & West Supply Co., he worked as a wholesale meat distributor.
Mr.Brown was a member of Potomac Lodge No. 5 and Almas Shrine Temple inWashington.
Other interests include fishing.
He is survived byhis wife, Catherine C. Brown; two sons, Randy Brown of Montana and Barry Brown of Davidsonville; and five grandchildren.
