Robert E. Gicquelais

Robert E. Gicquelais, who worked for the state Division of Parole and Probation, died of heart disease Sunday at North Arundel Hospital. He was 63 and lived in Severna Park.

Services for Mr. Gicquelais were being held today at the Barranco funeral establishment, Ritchie Highway and Robinson Road, Severna Park.

With the state agency for about five years, Mr. Gicquelais earlier worked as a salesman for the J. B. E. Olson Corp., a truck body firm that transferred him to this area from Pittsburgh in 1963.

He also had worked as a salesman for Southern Bakeries in Atlanta and as a claims adjuster for the General Motors Acceptance Corp. in Pittsburgh.

Born in Pittsburgh, he was a graduate of the University of Pittsburgh. He served in the Army during World War II and in the occupation of Germany.

Mr. Gicquelais liked to sail and do woodworking.

He is survived by his wife of 40 years, the former Eleanor Gustafson; a daughter, Susan R. Nauman, and a son, Robert S. Gicquelais, both of Severna Park; two sisters, Marybelle Lemmon and Linda Proeger, both of Brooksville, Fla.; and three grandchildren.

The family suggested memorial contributions to the American Heart Association.
