Through Sunday trees may be taken to the Millersville Landfill or Sudley Landfill, or to the Glen Burnie Convenience Center and exchanged for a coupon for an evergreen seedling. Seedlings will be distributed on April 6.

Put Christmas trees next to trash containers today through Saturday or Jan. 10 through 12. To exchange trees for pine mulch, take trees to Camp Small at 1900 Brand St., near Coldspring Lane and the Jones Falls Expressway on Saturday or Jan. 12 from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m.
To have Christmas trees converted to mulch and get a coupon for a pine seedling, bring trees to any of the following locations from 8 a.m. to 3 p.m. from Jan. 7 through 31.

Deereco Park & Ride Lot
North Point Service Center
Wise Avenue and Merritt Boulevard
The county will operate its regular Christmas tree curbside collection service from Jan. 7 through 31. Place trees at the curb in front of homes.

Carroll County --
The Carroll County Department of Natural Resource Protection is waiving landfill fees for haulers carrying trees only to be ground into mulch. Residents should ask whether haulers will pick up trees curbside or they sould bring the trees to one of 11 recycling centers in the county's eight towns, at the Hoods Mill, and the Northern landfills and at Piney Run Park.
Cut trees in 4-foot sections. Bind sections and put out on trash collection days. Or take trees to the following locations between 8 a.m. and 4 p.m. Jan. 12 and 13 for recycling: the County Fairgrounds in West Friendship; the county water tower near Cedar Lane and Rivendell, the Waterloo Elementary School on Route 108; Long Reach Park on Dobbin Road; the small parking lot on Court House Drive just before Sarah's Lane; Rockburn Park in Elkridge; and Savage Park on Fair Street.
