Carroll's General Assembly delegation will have a public hearing to discuss legislation requested by the County Commissioners and other issues of interest at 9 a.m. Saturday in Room 07 of the County Office Building, 225 N. Center St., Westminster

The following are bills requested by the commissioners to be reviewed by the delegation and the legislature during the session, which begins next Wednesday.

General Obligation Bond Authorization: Authorize the commissioners to borrow money through bond sale for planned upgrade of county roads, construction costs for additional cells at landfills, Carroll Community College and other projects for fiscal 1992. Bond authorization would only be employed if the projects are included in the fiscal 1992 capital budget.

Contributions to Non-Profit Organizations: Authorize the commissioners to contribute to non-profit organizations directly, provided that money is requested 180 days before the county'sfiscal year begins and a public hearing takes place.

Carroll County General Hospital Contribution: Authorize the commissioners to grant $200,000 a year for five years to help finance the hospital's capital improvements program.

Establishment of Public Farmers Markets: Authorize the commissioners to establish public farmers markets within the county or municipalities.

Alcoholic Beverages License Fees: Authorize adjustment of license fees. Legislation was requested by the Board of License Commissioners.

Establish Six-Day Tavern License: Legislation requested by the Board of License Commissioners to create a six-day beer, wine and liquor tavern license. Tavern license would allow liquor sales for on-premises consumption without having to meet current standard requiring at least 40 percent of gross sales to be for food.
