Anne R. Thompson

Anne R. Thompson, a homemaker, died Monday at Anne Arundel General Hospital after a brief illness. She was 88 and lived in Arnold.

Services for Mrs. Thompson will be at 11 a.m. tomorrow at Asbury United Methodist Church in Arnold.

The widow of Allan C. Thompson was an artist who won several local awards for her oil paintings.

She is survived by a son, Allan C. Thompson Jr. of Davidson, N.C.; two daughters, Anne Shockey of Arnold and Mary Ellen Wigley of Long Island, N.C.; a brother, John Baker of Baltimore; two sisters, Lida Whitaker and Marguerite Sweany, both of Annapolis; and eight grandchildren and seven great-grandchildren.

The family suggests memorial contributions to the American Heart Association or Asbury United Methodist Church.
