January 02, 1991

A Baltimore County school bus and a car collided today in Randallstown, sending at least 12 students to the hospital for examination.

All the injuries were thought to be minor, county police said.

The collision occurred about 10:50 a.m. near Liberty Road and Glen Michael Lane.

A police spokesman said the bus was transporting students between Randallstown High School and Western Vocational-Technical High School.

Neither the driver of the bus nor the driver of the car was injured in the accident, police said.

Sgt. John Irlbacher, a police spokesman, did not have information about the cause of the crash.

Irlbacher said 12 students had been taken to Baltimore County General Hospital. School officials said some students also had been taken to Siani Hospital.

School officials said as many as 36 students were on the bus at the time of the accident.
