Lillian S. Watson Longtime volunteer

January 02, 1991

Services for Lillian S. Watson, for many years a volunteer at Church Home and Hospital, will be held at 11 a.m. tomorrow at the Episcopal Cathedral Church of the Incarnation, East University Parkway and St. Paul Street.

Mrs. Watson, 86, died yesterday at Pickersgill, a retirement home in Towson.

She was the widow of the Rev. David C. Watson, D.D., former rector of the Church of the Messiah in Baltimore.

Mrs. Watson was born in Oldhams, Va., and graduated from Mary Washington College.

She was a member of the Church Home Auxiliary and of the Cathedral Church of the Incarnation. Her interests included antiques and gardening.

She is survived by two daughters, Mary Jane Watson Hall and Ann W. Mangels, both of Baltimore; two sisters, Mrs. John F. Garrett and Ruby D. Smith, both of Manassas, Va.; four grandchildren; and a great grandson.

The family has established a memorial garden at the Cathedral Church of the Incarnation for Mr. and Mrs. Watson. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be sent to Friends of the Cathedral Gardens at the church.
