Brittingham Receptionist

Myrtle C. Brittingham, a retired receptionist for the Veterans Administration Medical Center in Perry Point, died Friday of heart failure at the Laurelwood Nursing Home in Elkton. She was 83.

A native of Perryville, Cecil County, the former Myrtle Chamberlain retired in 1972 after 20 years of service as a telephone operator and receptionist at the medical center. She had been married twice, to Clarence F. Brittingham and to Sydney B. Wychgram, both deceased.

She was a member of Perryville Presbyterian Church and of the Ladies Auxiliary of the Susquehanna American Post No. 135.

Mrs. Brittingham is survived by two sons, Gary L. Wychgram of Port Deposit, and James F. Wychgram of Baltimore; a daughter, Joan D. Winstead of Elkton; a granddaughter; and a great-granddaughter. Services were Monday, with burial in Asbury Cemetery in Port Deposit.
