MTA bus route changes

The MTA has scheduled the following changes in bus routes for this week. The information center (539-5000; TTY for the hearing-impaired, 539-3497) will be open from 6 a.m. to noon and from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. tomorrow. The center will be closed New Year's Day and will reopen Wednesday.

New Year's Eve Metro service

The Metro's hours will be extended for two hours tomorrow evening, until 2 a.m. New Year's Day.

Temporary route changes

Nos. 17, 28, 230, 240 -- Effective Wednesday, construction will close Eutaw Street between Lombard and Camden streets, necessitating the following temporary route change northbound: via present route to Paca and Pratt Streets, then north on Paca, east on Baltimore Street, then via present temporary route.

Continuing diversions

Construction of the MTA's light-rail line necessitates the closing of southbound Howard Street between Martin Luther King Jr. Boulevard and Madison Street. The following bus lines will be rerouted:

Nos. 27, 28, and 210.
