What: The 13th annual Sea World Holiday Bowl marks the second time Brigham Young, champion of the WAC, and Texas A&M of the SWC have met. Brigham Young defeated the Aggies, 18-17, in the season opener in 1979.

BYU outlook: Heisman Trophy winner Ty Detmer leads the high-powered offense. Detmer was second in the nation with a 155.9 QB ranking, completing 361 of 562 passes for 5,188 yards and 41 TDs. Detmer ranked second in the nation with 418.5 yards per game. WR Andy Boyce has 79 receptions for 1,241 yards to rank fourth in the nation. Boyce also ranks fourth with 103.4 yards per game. HB Matt Bellini has 59 receptions for 601 yards.

Texas A&M outlook: The offense is RB Darren Lewis, who was third in the nation with 1,691 yards on 291 carries and 140.9 yards per game. Lewis ranks sixth in the nation with 19 TDs for 114 points and 9.50 points per game. Bucky Richardson and Lance Pavlas have split time at QB. Richardson, the running QB, will probably start. He has completed 59 of 116 for 847 yards and 4 TDs. If the Aggies fall behind, look for Pavlas, who had the SWC's top passing rating at 159.1. Pavlas has completed 56 of 89 for 871 yards and 8 TDs.
