A masked man armed with a gun robbed the Roy's Glen Burnie Car Wash on Wednesday.

The police said the robber walked into the car wash in the 900 block of Crain Highway about 8 p.m. and forced the cashier into a rear storage room, took money from the cash register and left.

The cashier escaped through a rear door and called police.

The police said the robber was white, about 25, and he was wearing blue jeans and a light blue jacket.

VA. MAN IS MUGGED OUTSIDE LAUREL MOTEL An Alexandria, Va., man was robbed Monday outside a motel in Laurel, county police said.

The police said the man was approached outside the Laurel East Motel on Route 198 by two men asking for directions to Howard County.

When the victim got out of his car to help the men, one of them took out a gun and demanded money.

The man gave the robbers his money and they left.

Police gave no description of the pair.

THIEF TAKES $1,716 IN HAIR CARE PRODUCTS Police are looking for the person who broke into a Glen Burnie hair salon and stole more than 200 bottles of hair products worth $1,716.10.

The police said the thief broke into the Hair Cuttery Salon in Northway Plaza Shopping Center through the front door about 2:47 a.m. Dec. 20.

Police said they have no suspects.

8000 block of Green Orchard Drive: Dec. 26, entry gained through the door.

Appliances taken. Total loss: $1,100.
