2 Men Try, Fail To Rob Elkridge Gas Station

December 26, 1990

Two men attempted but failed to rob the Steuart Petroleum service station, in the 7300 block Washington Blvd. in Elkridge, on Saturday, county police said.

The would-be robbers, one armed with a revolver, forced the night attendant to lie down on the floor in the rear of the building at 11:10 p.m., when he was closing the station, said Sgt. Robert Adams.

Before the assailants could remove cash from the register, the store's burglar alarm sounded and the two men fled.
