WESTMINSTER - Continuing a holiday tradition from last year, Mayor W.
Benjamin Brown gave fruitcakes made from his grandmother's recipe to friends and associates around the county.
"I made twice as many as I did last year," he said. "They proved to be quite popular."
Other county mayors, city department heads, state senators and delegates as well as family and friends were among the recipients of Brown's handmade gifts.
Brown started making the cakes himself last year when the council told him using city money for good-will Christmas gifts was unethical.
