Ernest Waters, 75, who worked more than 30 years for the Allied Chemical Corp., died of cancer Wednesday at Union Memorial Hospital.
Funeral services will be held at noon Wednesday at First Apostolic Faith Church, 27 S. Caroline St.
A resident of West Baltimore, Mr. Waters retired in 1976 from his job as a chemical operator at Allied's plant at Block and Wells streets.
Born and reared in Winnsboro, S.C., he moved to Baltimore and began working for Allied as a young man.
Survivors include his wife of 54 years, the former Bettie Bethea; two sons, Leon M. Waters and Stanley H. Waters, both of Baltimore; a daughter, Ernestine Lockes of Baltimore; five grandchildren; and two great-grandchildren.
