Power Boat Group Helps Area Children

December 24, 1990

Christmas will be a more joyous occasion for needy children in Maryland this year because Chesapeake Bay Power Boat Association presented representatives from Santa Claus Anonymous with a $1,130 check Dec. 18 at Pleasure Cove Yacht and Beach Club.

The money was raised from a raffle this past summer, with a two-hour boat ride on the Chesapeake Bay as the grand prize.

Santa Claus Anonymous has helped needy children since 1934. In 1990, it is committed to serving 55,000 children, representing a fund-raising goal of $555,000. Contributions may be sent to Santa Claus Anonymous, c/o Carrollton Bank, 2 Charles Plaza, Baltimore, MD, 21201.
