Mary Angela Simms Baltimore native

A Mass of Christian burial for Mary Angela Simms, a native of Baltimore and former resident of Arnold, was offered yesterday in Annapolis.

Mrs. Simms, who was 81 and lived in Orangeburg, S.C., for about 12 years, died Tuesday of heart failure at a nursing home there.

The former Mary Angela Mueller was born in Windsor Hills and educated at the Academy of the Visitation in Baltimore.

Her husband, M. Austin Simms, a retired official of the Internal Revenue Service, died in 1970.

She is survived by a son, Malcolm A. Simms Jr. of Dickerson; a daughter, Rosemary S. Singletary of Holly Hill, S.C.; three grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
